Art contest winners announced

The winners of this year’s children’s holiday art contest, sponsored by the Downtown Development Administration and the Village Inn, are now on display at various downtown locations. Awards and prizes will be given out to the classes by Santa himself at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, at Centennial Park, part of Friday’s downtown holiday celebrations.

Here’s where you can spot the winners’ work: Mrs. Meyers’ third-grade class project is displayed at the Hot Springs Pool Sport Shop; Mr. Filipski’s third-grade class project is displayed at the Toy Shack; Miss Templon’s third-grade class art project is on display in the King’s Mall; Miss Hall and Miss Smith’s third-grade class ceramic project is displayed at the Main Street Gallery; Mrs. Shave’s third-grade art project is on display at Sacred Grounds; and the CMC Mini-College art project is displayed at the Village Inn.
