Every year, the New Castle Lions Club provides dinner for the annual New Castle Schools Spring Carnival. This year’s check for $577 represented half of the net proceeds the Lions Club earned from the concessions from the carnival, which was held April 25. The Parent Teachers Association Committee will combine this with its carnival proceeds to provide new playground equipment for the school. The Lions Club’s share will be used to fund requests for eyeglasses for those individuals who cannot afford them.

“We greatly appreciate all the Lions Club’s efforts for our school,” said Michelle Bunn. Everyone loved all the food at the carnival. And the kids will love all the new equipment.”
