Big Green Buildings
Snowmass’ Rocky Mountain Institute begins its “Quest for Solutions” speaker series at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, with “Big Green Buildings,” an investigation into the use of environmentally friendly materials and techniques in new projects such as the redevelopment of the World Trade Center site in New York City. Do It Yourself Divorce Class
Garfield Legal Services presents the Do It Yourself Divorce Class from 8:30 a.m. to noon Feb. 19 at the County Courthouse in Glenwood Springs. Attendees are provided with all required documents to file for divorce, along with all necessary information on how to manage their cases from start to finish. Preregistration is required. Sopris MOPS discuss
Sopris MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at the First United Methodist Church, 824 Cooper Ave., Glenwood Springs. New jazz group forms
A new Roaring Fork Valley Jazz Workshop is currently being formed and will meet from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, in the Carbondale Middle School band room. Local jazz musician Tim Fox will facilitate the meeting. If you are an adult or serious high school student interested in improvising jazz in a small group context, this meeting is for you.
