Mid-Valley MOPS cordially invites you to join them between 9-11:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, at Christ Community Church, Basalt. Aspen volunteer firefighter Roy Holloway will give a talk and demonstration on infant/child CPR; this is not, however, a class on infant/ child CPR, only a demonstration. Lewis and Clark


The March meeting of the Roaring Fork Chapter of the Colorado State Archeology Society will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, March 15, at the Glenwood Springs Presbyterian Church (1016 Cooper). The meeting will feature Alice Gustafson, staff archeologist for the White River National Forest and club archeologist, speaking on the Lewis and Clark expedition, their study of plants and their contact with Native Americans. Free dump day

The West Garfield County Landfill will be hosting a free dump day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 22. Call 625-2516 for details on what can be dropped off. Beginning April 4, regular landfill hours expand to 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week.

Carbondale’s Chamber Business After Hours and annual membership meeting will take place from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, at Aspen Glen Golf Club, 0545 Bald Eagle Way. Main entrance is located on Highway 82, one mile north of Highway 133. Please stop at the guard house to get a parking voucher and directions.
