The Primary Grant application is for agencies that have historically been United Way or Garfield Human Service Commission agencies that request $1,000 or more. The Associate Member application is available for other area nonprofits to apply to be in the United Way’s brochure and publicity, but not receive any direct funds. The hike is long and fairly strenuous, especially at the end. It’s about four miles to the pass, with a 2,000-foot elevation gain.
