Committees issue callto citizens to get involvedThe leaders of three committees working to educate the public about two planned election issues on funding for the Roaring Fork School District are calling Glenwood Springs, Carbondale and Basalt residents to get involved. The next districtwide, public meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday, July 26, at the Days Inn in Carbondale. The ballot issues, both a bond issue and mill levy override, would finance improvements for aging school facilities, help retain and attract teachers and maintain smaller class sizes at the primary level.
