Eagles UpdateThe Eagles Club, 312 Seventh St., Glenwood Springs, hosts Bingo from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15. Play for cash and for one complete Christmas dinner. Pull tabs and food available. This week is the annual Christmas brunch and silent auction with Katrine Fabian sharing her inspiration on “Keeping the focus of Christmas.” Mothers with children birth through kindergarten are welcome. Information: Kerri Powell, 384-2334.Ice Climbing 101Join Aspen Expeditions’ AMGA professional mountain guides for two days of climbing frozen waterfalls during the “Locals Introduction to Ice Climbing” course Saturday, Dec. 18 and Sunday, Dec. 19. The course teaches proper techniques for use of ice tools and crampons, movement on ice, belaying, rappelling and anchor theory and is recommended for anyone aspiring to learn basic ice climbing or as a foundation for technical alpine mountaineering skills. All technical ice climbing equipment (harness, boots, helmet, crampons, ice tools, etc.) included. This clinic is supported by grants from Aspen Valley Community Foundation.
