MOTHERS have fun, too

The Sopris Mothers Of Preschoolers group meets at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, in the First United Methodist Church at 824 Cooper Ave. in Glenwood Springs. Barb and Erika from the Glenwood Springs Community Center will speak on the importance of exercise. Mothers with children birth through kindergarten are welcome. Childcare is available. There is a one-time registration fee of $25 and a weekly fee of $7. Scholarships are available. Information: Kerri Powell at 384-2334.

Fun with Music

Music Together classes for parents with young children, toddlers and babies begin Jan. 10 and feature movement, rhythm play, sound play, singing and instruments. Times and locations throughout the valley. Information: 963-1482

Discount skiing

Skier Appreciation Day at Sunlight Mountain Resort is Friday, Jan. 7. Lift tickets are $10. Proceeds benefit the United Way of Garfield County.

Play in clay

Carbondale Clay Center classes begin Monday, Jan. 10. The next six-week session includes adult classes for all levels of experience and kids classes for toddlers and older All are welcome. Kids’ classes are $90, adults $144 plus firing fee for six weeks. Information: 963-2529. Space is limited.
