New stop signsThe city of Glenwood Springs has installed three new stop signs near Glenwood Springs Elementary at these spots: On westbound 9th Street at School Street, the intersection is now an all-way stop. On southbound School Street at 10th. On southbound Colorado Avenue at 9th Street, the intersection is now a three-way stop.New pedestrian-crossing signs have also been placed on Mount Sopris Drive at Sopris Elementary School. Motorists are reminded that it is their responsibility to yield to pedestrians in marked crosswalks.Motorists are advised to be alert for these new stop signs and to drive cautiously at all times in the vicinity of the schoolsBenefit dinner and danceThe Eagles, 312 7th St., Glenwood Springs, will hold a benefit spaghetti dinner followed by a dance at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8. Proceeds will help Judy Hoskins with medical bills from a recent bout with cancer.
