Eagles Auxiliary meeting change
The Eagles Auxiliary Meeting scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 27, will instead be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, due to the holiday. Information: Donna, 618-7622.
Community ecumenical Thanksgiving service
A group of local protestant churches and St. Stephen’s Catholic Church will team up at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, for a community ecumenical Thanksgiving service, to be held at St. Stephen’s. An ecumenical choir will practice at 6 p.m. ” everyone is invited to take part ” and tours of St. Stephen’s will follow the hour-long service.
Kids’ holiday art workshops
Carbondale Council on the Arts and Humanities offers its first children’s art workshops for the holidays, suitable for children aged 6-10. Sessions will be held 9 a.m. to noon or 1-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28. $35. Each three-hour workshop includes all art supplies and instructions for drawing, Christmas decorations and Christmas cards. All-day session is also available for $80. Please bring lunch and a drink.
