John Adams Benefit Concert
International recording artist John Adams will perform with his band and the Sopris Elementary Singers in a holiday concert 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at the Glenwood Springs High School Auditorium. The concert benefits the Windstar Colorado Connection and the Sopris Elementary School Music Department. Tickets are $12 at the door, from Sopris Elementary students and at Robin’s Hallmark Store on Grand Avenue. Information: 945-7225.

Christmas crafts class
The Redstone Art Foundation presents a half-day workshop, “Sculpting Father Christmas,” from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 5, at the Church at Redstone.
