KDNK bingo night

KDNK presents its monthly Monday Night Bingo on Monday, Jan. 12, at the CCAH Annex in La Fontana Plaza, Carbondale. Cash prizes, progressive bingo and pull tabs provide plenty of fun for the whole family. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and games commence at 7:15. Snacks and sodas will be sold. Mountain relationships discussed on radio

“Gender Laundry,” new radio show focusing on the unique nature of romantic relationships in the mountains will debut at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, on KAJX, heard at 88.9 FM in Glenwood Springs. Carbondale resident and former journalist Ben Gagnon will team up with the Aspen Times’ “Princess” columnist and Aspen resident Alison Berkley, to talk about mountain relationships and pitfalls. Psychotherapist and radio host Annie Brown will moderate the discussion, offering her advice along the way. Listeners will be encouraged to send e-mails to the hosts after the pilot show, and if enough interest is generated, the show will become a regular feature on KAJX.

Environmental lecture series

Tomorrow’s Voices: Fundamentals of American Democracy begins a series of guest lectures at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12, at Roaring Fork High School auditorium. Randy Udall, affiliated with Community Office of Resource Efficiency, will speak on energy use and hypocrisy.

Iraq War uncovered

The Roaring Fork Peace Coalition presents “Uncovered: the Whole Truth about the Iraq War,” showing at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, at the Glenwood Springs High School Library, and at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Roaring Fork High School. The film goes behind the scenes as CIA, Pentagon and foreign service experts detail the real reasons that brought about the war in Iraq.
