Speaking of architecture …

Carbondale Council on Arts and Humanities presents a continuing dialogue among architects. “Imagining Architecture 2” will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, at the CCAH Arts Annex, 584 La Fontana Plaza, Carbondale. Free films for kids

Aspen Filmfest’s Preschool Pix program presents Winter Wonders, fun films for kids aged 3-6, including “Chicken Soup with Rice,” “Strega Nonna” and “Brave Irene and the Snowy Day.” The free program will be shown at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21, at the Basalt Regional Library and at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at the Glenwood Springs Library.

Dog park fund-raiser date changed

Anyone who was hoping to take part in a fund-raising party for the Glenwood Springs dog park will have to wait a bit ” the event, originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Community Center, has been rescheduled to Saturday, April 17. Family Resource Centers

offer parenting classes

The Roaring Fork Family Resource Centers will offer free one-night parenting workshops in both English and Spanish at various valley locations. Classes will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the Carbondale Elementary School library, on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the Glenwood Springs Elementary School library and on Thursday, Jan. 29, at Basalt Elementary School’s Family Resource Center office. This month’s theme is “Sibling Rivalry;” Sean Jeung of Piece by Peace Parenting will host the English class and Luz Caceres, Carbondale’s Latino Community Liaison, will host the Spanish classes.
