Readers say thanks

Allow us to share our heartfelt thanks to many of you, for helping us provide a magical Christmas to the people of Open Gate. Allow me to explain the magic. It began with a wish to provide 12 wonderful people with a Christmas they would remember.

A few phone calls were placed to some very special people followed by a written wish, in hopes that one would come to our assistance. Miracles is a word that can be heard at Open Gate, for you see three very wonderful groups of people provided a house of people with a very magical day.

To quote, “I can’t believe this is happening for us.” “Wow! People really do care.” “This is really for us.” “Miracles really happen.”

So to all the people from CMC Black Center administrative offices, Mountain View Church, and the Glenwood Springs Post Independent, we say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. For you have touched not only the people who reside at Open Gate, but also the staff as well.

To us you provided gifts of warmth, comfort and joy along with an uplifting of spirits that rings bright.

You are our miracle workers and have our heartfelt gratitude for all you have done to brighten their lives on Christmas. Twinkles in the eyes, smiles on their faces still ring through to date. A Christmas to remember for years to come.

Thank you and bless you all,

Kelly Gunder, Activity Director

and all the Open Gate staff
