Heritage Park Care Center would like to acknowledge and thank the town of Carbondale for the continued financial support for our successful rhythm and drumming program.

Laurie Loeb’s Rhythms of the Heart sessions have been a therapeutic and beneficial program providing mental and physical stimulation for our seniors and staff.

The drumming activities bring a sense of togetherness, relaxation and fun to the seniors, and help residents to establish new relationships among themselves.

The involvement from the staff has been proven to lower staff turnover, which attributes to a happier and healthier atmosphere for all.

The town of Carbondale has generously been supporting our music department for several years now.

Thanks to their support, we have developed an extremely successful program that we are looking to expand even further.

Laurie’s energetic approach and vast knowledge of music compliments an already well established collection of instruments that she brings to each session.

With additional funding we look forward to expanding our musical horizon. If you would like to be a volunteer assistant, or make a financial donation to the Rhythms of the Heart program, please contact Laurie Loeb at 963-2798.

Also if you care to share your musical or other artistic talents with Heritage Park seniors, kindly contact Tara at 963-1500. Thank you all for recognizing the importance of music and rhythm in the lives of the elderly.
