Readers Say Thanks

Dear Editor,

This thank-you goes out to community members and organizations that helped make the Glenwood Springs Afternoon Rotary’s second-annual Blizzard Box project a success.

Governmental organizations and nonprofit organizations helped identify individuals who could benefit from a Blizzard Box and a visit from a Rotarian.

Over 200 individuals received boxes containing two shelf-stable meals, such as soups, stews, vegetables, fruit, crackers, water, dessert, along with local written resources. An additional 100 boxes were donated to organizations such as: LIFT-UP, Salvation Army, Colorado West Mental Health, and Advocate Safe House.

Thank you to all of you who helped make a difference in the success of this project and for helping Glenwood Afternoon Rotary help others.
