Readers say thanks
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved with the fund-raiser at Spring Gulch on March 6 that benefited the Mount Sopris Nordic Council.
It was a huge success due largely to so many people volunteering. Village Smithy and Six89 provided us with soup and chili, Grana Bread donated loaves and loaves of bread, Dos Gringos kept us warm with hot chocolate, and Red Rock Diner topped off our meal with delicious cookies.
We had numerous volunteers who served up the food, so thanks to Sherry Hall, Jeremy Foster, Lee Ann Eustis, Greg and Pat Fitzpatrick, Penny Ridley, Georgia Chamberlain, and Karla Stukey.
Wick Moses, Karla Stukey, Dick and Rita Marsh picked up and delivered the food. Sounds Easy sold tickets and John Foulkrod collected them at the gate.
Thanks to David Mork for providing wood for the Bonfire. Special thanks go to Marianne Ackerman, Mark Chain, Tripp Sutro, Uncle Wick and Paul Huttenhower. Andy Taylor, thanks for everything you do for Spring Gulch.
The event could not have happened without the community support, so thanks to everyone who attended.
We’ll see you next year on the full moon in March.
With Much Appreciation,
The Silt Historical Society Inc. would like to publicly thank Rising Sun Mechanical Inc. of Silt for repairing the heating system in our museum/office building. Not only did they accomplish this in a very timely and professional manner, they donated a large portion of their cost. We can not thank them enough for this generous donation and prompt service.
Rick and Sonya Doyal would like to thank Abbey Carpet for the quick installation of our flooring. Thank you so much Dale, Mark and especially Steve Weller.

On behalf of the Glenwood Springs High School Athletic Department, it is again time to thank those who so graciously gave of their time and energy to help with our winter sports programs. I would like to thank the Glenwood Springs Kiwanis Club and the Glenwood Sunrise Rotary Club for once again volunteering their time to take tickets at the home basketball games. It is a great service they provide to GSHS and our athletic program.
Thanks to those who gave of their time for the things that sometimes go unnoticed ” announcing at games, scorekeepers, clock operations, and such. Thanks to Mike Wilde, Bryan Whiting, Carl Ciani, Martha Moore, Tom and Joyce Ball, Pete Waller, Jeff Nelson, Nancy Reinisch, Jennifer Lowell, Alicia Crandall, Rich and Monica Blake and Carla Westerman.
Again, thanks to all of those who gave something back to our young athletes and the Glenwood Springs High School athletic program.
