Readers Say Thanks

Thanks again to all that made Pie Day 2004 successful. We wish to apologize to all the wonderful people that support Pie Day for not having enough pies. We promise, next year there will be more pies.

In a very short time, more than $1,500 was made for our wonderful Valley View Hospital. See you next year!

Whenever you have an event that gets huge support, a thank-you letter runs the risk of missing someone. Recently the Glenwood Springs Police Department thanked a number of sponsors for their support of our annual Bicycle Rodeo, and I inadvertently left someone out. So, I would like to thank the Glenwood Springs Elks Lodge and their membership.

The Elks have been sponsors of the Bike Rodeo and lots of other events and programs for as long as I can remember. Anytime we have needed help with a youth-oriented program, this group has always been an immediate source of assistance. Their dedication to our town’s kids has been tremendous. Thanks to Thomas B. and all the Glenwood Elks!
