Bake sale and sub sale fund tripI would like to express my thanks for all the help I received for my mission trip. Thank you to the First Assembly of God Church in Glenwood Springs for the use of its facility for my sub sale fund-raiser, City Market in Rifle for the use of its facility for my bake sale, and Timbo’s Pizza in Basalt for supplying the bread and veggies for my sub sale. And last but not least, thanks to everyone who bought anything from me. The fund-raisers supplied all of the money for my trip. I would not have made it without everyone’s help. Thank you, everyone! Many of our students brought change from their piggy banks to donate. To see a 6-year-old child putting his six pennies into the money tub was truly heartwarming. What you may not know is that while we were collecting coins, someone broke into our school and stole a significant portion of the money donated. Upon hearing this, many businesses and individuals stepped up to make donations to compensate for the money stolen from our students. Our heartfelt thanks go to the following businesses and individuals for their generosity: Architectural Windows and Doors Inc.; Jim Houg Plumbing and Heating; Four Mile Mountain Market; American National Bank; Gary Buzick; John Moore; 5 SWGB LLC; Balcomb & Green PC; JAG Ventures Inc.; Arlin Washburn; Peter Waller; Michael and Teresa Southworth; Walters Co.
