Thanks to a true community effort, the Sopris Ballfields are fabulous! We wanted to take this opportunity to thank those who contributed their resources, expertise and time toward making the dream of having first-class ballfields, for the younger players, in Glenwood Springs a reality. Let us begin with the school district for the location and the city for the initial investment that created fields. What an incredible gift to our children! The morning and noon Rotarians are to be thanked for the restrooms they built for the players, visitors and for those of us who spend numerous hours watching our children play. This year an incredible amount of work was done to get the fields into playing condition. A huge thank-you goes to the many businesses and individuals who made playing little league games in Glenwood a reality. Please join us in thanking the following contributors: BMC West, LaFarge, Gould Construction, Aspen Earthmoving, HP Geotech, Structural Associates, Charlie Montover, Greg Hailey, Cary Gunther, Mike Summers, Al Seaver, Rick Artaz, Richard Law, Lee Snyder, Paul Huttenhower, Rick, Cole & Carder Ullom and all the others who helped out.As parents of a son who plays Little League baseball, we truly appreciate the incredible amount of effort you put into the fields and enjoy watching our child play baseball on a great field!Jeff and Trsi HouptGlenwood Springs
