Readers Say Thanks

We’d like to thank our Sopris Elementary School community for attending the fourth-grade Mesa Verde spaghetti dinner and silent auction fund-raiser last month.

The $1,200 raised will help with expenses for the students, staff and parent chaperones to camp in and explore Mesa Verde for three days later this month. This experience enhances our classroom instruction and discussion of southwest Colorado, bringing the history and archeological uniqueness of the area to life for each student.

Special thanks go to silent auction coordinator Cheryl Bean and food coordinator Rex Carlson for their contributions.
