The city of Glenwood Springs wishes to thank the numerous volunteers and organizations that contributed to the success of the recent Linwood Cemetery maintenance project.
The staff of the Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers did an excellent job of organizing and coordinating the event. Much work was accomplished by an enthusiastic volunteer group that constructed erosion control features, stacked rock walls for trail stabilization and revegetated numerous social trails.
The day was capped off with a delicious dinner provided by the Italian Underground, Florindo’s, Ingrid’s, Mancinelli’s, Safeway and the Glenwood Canyon Brewery.
An interesting discussion of the cemeteries history followed and raffle prizes from Factory Surplus were given away.
Thanks to all the individuals who gave their time on a Saturday to help preserve history.
