Readers say thanks

Heart to Heart Gift Shop at Valley View Hospital would like to thank all the people who voted us “Best Gift Shop” in the Locals Choice contest. This is particularly gratifying, because we are all volunteers and all of our proceeds go to medically related scholarships and the new Planetree HealthSource Library.

We would like to thank the community for its tremendous expressions of support and sympathy following the loss of Craig Overbeck.

Though we deeply mourn his passing, we are uplifted by the kindness and generosity shared by so many people in this valley. Craig was always a catalyst for bringing people together, and in the celebration of his life, he did it again.

In the confusion, so many people brought so many gifts, and we regret that some cards were lost. We cannot personally acknowledge every gift of food and flowers. Please accept this letter as our heartfelt thanks for all your support and compassion.

May we all carry on Craig’s legacy of love for this valley and its people.
