Readers Say Thanks
We would like to offer the most soulful thank-you to the people who helped during the rafting death of our husband/father/son/brother and friend, Randy Lowery, on Saturday, May 21.
From the anesthesiologist and nurse who stopped to help revive Randy, to the EMTs, deputy coroner Bill Hodgden, victims services volunteer Adam, Pastor Dave, Father Tom, and everyone who spent countless hours helping us. Your pure acts of kindness have touched our hearts and lives.
Again, thank you, as Randy’s family and friends all move toward our next journeys.

In a recent thank-you letter, we thanked several people who helped make this year’s Shortcut a success. Now we’d like to thank the rest.
The 28th Annual Strawberry Shortcut is presented by the Bank of Colorado and benefits local programs of Special Olympics Colorado.
Thanks to the following businesses for their continued sponsorships: Bank of Colorado, The Toy Shack, Calistoga, Commonwealth Title Co. of Garfield County, Inc., SDS Mortgage Corp., Glenwood Chiropractic and Performance Footwear. Thanks to the Post Independent for their pre-race and race-day coverage. Also thanks to the Glenwood Springs Police Department and A-1 Traffic Control.
Again, special thanks to Jim Yellico whose excellent skills in planning, coordinating and executing the Shortcut ensure a great time for all involved. Also thanks to the wonderful volunteers and participants. We couldn’t do it without you.
Stay fit, Glenwood!
