The City of Glenwood Springs Parks & Recreation Department would like to thank everyone for coming to the Community Center for our Spooktacular Halloween Carnival. It was great to see the little ghosts and goblins participating in family fun on this festive occasion. The following individuals and organizations volunteered their services because they take pride in the simple pleasure of celebrating the energy of youth. It is my hope that they were well rewarded for their efforts with the many smiling faces at the event. To produce the Spooktacular we joined forces with the FBLA, EPYCS and Latino Club youth groups from Glenwood Springs High School. A special thanks to Roaring Fork Volvo & Land Rover Roaring Fork for being our Spookiest title sponsors. Thanks to Dominos for keeping the volunteers fed and happy. Thanks to our Parks & Recreation director, Leon Kuhn, and his wife, Sue, for the difficult task of judging over 100 entrants in the costume contest. Thanks to Paul Vandre at Channel 12, The Post Independent and KMTS and Ron and Randalee Milhorn for their help and promotion of the event. The generosity of 35 local businesses helped to ensure the success of the event by providing wonderful prizes for the carnival games, costume contest and climbing wall competition. Thank you all for your generosity. You are the fabric that makes up this fine community. We hope to see you all next yearif you dare!
