Readers Say Thanks

I am the Aunt of Eva Baker. I want to thank you and your community for the wonderful support you all have been to Tereasa, Brian, Cassandra, James Jr. and Benjamin. These times are never easy, and it is truly heartwarming to see that people still do care. It will be with great honor that my mother, Sandy Koch; brother, Laurn Koch Jr.; his wife, Leslie; and sister Rebecca Nguyen and her husband Tony; as well as myself will be planning to attend Eva’s graduation in May to accept her diploma with her mother, Tereasa; sister, Cassandra; and two brothers, James Jr., and Benjamin; and young Brian. This unplanned sadness is a reminder to me that life is short, therefore we all need to make sure that we first are right with God; and second, that we tell those we love how much they mean to us and that we love them.Thank you all for letting Tereasa and her family know that they are loved with greatfulness in my heart.Cindy KochRaymore, Mo.

I want to thank the Roaring Fork Referral Group for their large donation to Feed My Sheep Ministry, which serves the homeless. This year, we had a tragic death of one of our homeless. Our response was to open at night during our coldest months of December and January. This included renting an extra motel room to accommodate our women. Roaring Fork Referral Group’s donation helped with this expense. Feed My Sheep served 214 individuals in 2005 for 4,261 visits. We continue to provide breakfast, lunch, shower and phone service five mornings per week. We have recently opened in the evenings from 6-9 p.m. to serve our working homeless. The members of the Roaring Fork Referral Group are Jim Lord, American Family Insurance; Donna Humble, Biosynergy; Polly Tower, CPA, Serves Pro; Ernie and Carol Delto, Delto and Associates; Lynn Bader, Flower Mart; Doug Didonato, Gran Farnum Printers; Roy Brandt, Web designer; Amy Luetke, Property Shop; Keith Slater, Something Sweet Candy; Jim Armstrong, Sunlight Window Covering; Susan Karger, Liberty Home Loans; Ronnie Smith, Starseed Gift Baskets; Jack Gousnel, WSI Internets; Paul Parsons, Parsons Chiropractic; Greg Emerine, Impressions Office Solutions; Tim Dyer, Dyer Electric; Joel Carr, Sacred Grounds; and Jacque McMillan, Springs Travel. Thank you all for a most timely and much-needed gift.Karolyn Spencer, directorFeed My Sheep MinistryNew Castle
