More than 160 citizens, elected officials, and planners from the region crammed into the Hotel Colorado for Healthy Mountain Community’s fourth annual State of the Valley Symposium. Hollywood and the Oscars came to Riverside Middle School on April 29 when the Retired Senior Volunteer Program honored our 500-plus Garfield County senior volunteers (55 or older) for nearly 85,000 volunteer hours served in 2005. We had a fantastic event that was made possible by our many local sponsors, who provided funding and gifts.
