Readers say thanks

I would like to thank everyone who was involved in this year’s Kiss-n-Squeal fundraiser for YouthZone. First of all, my PAL Lindsay Gilliam and I couldn’t have participated in this great event without the help of our sponsor, The Hot Springs Lodge and Pool. They were so supportive and helped us throughout the competition. My deepest appreciation to Sunlight Mountain Resort’s Tom Jankovsky: Without his encouragement and hearty donation we wouldn’t have succeeded as much as we did. To the Glenwood Canyon Brewpub, Taipei Tokyo, Russo’s Pizza, Rollin’ Audio, Through the Looking Glass and others who graciously and willingly donated gift certificates for the online auction, I thank you very much. Also, my sincere gratitude to the wonderful folks of CMC’s District Office and Roaring Fork Campus for your monetary and auction contributions and overall support. To the ELKS lodge of Glenwood Springs, I am grateful to you all for making Thursday nights of the past month a lot of fun. … ! You truly helped to put the “fun” in fundraiser! I especially want to thank my PAL, Lindsay Gilliam, and her mother, Sheila, for putting in countless hours of fundraising, selling raffle tickets, painting windows and for just being there throughout the campaign. Mary Jean Carnevale, Patty Schaffner and Debbie Wilde are also true heroes as their behind-the-scenes efforts made this one of the best events ever! Last but certainly not least, I want to thank my friends and family, particularly my parents, Craig and Jan Dean, for all of their love and support. Finally, to all of our fellow candidates from Aspen to Rifle, I want to thank you all for such a great competition.Carli DeanGlenwood Springs
