Thank you to Dr. Thomas St. John of Orthopaedic Associates of Aspen and Glenwood who volunteered his time on Feb. 5 at Aspen Valley Hospital to provide our community with a comprehensive lecture on joint replacement surgery. After providing information on the latest technological advances in hip and knee replacement, Dr. St. John addressed individual questions for another hour from the 26 attendees seeking not only information as future joint replacement candidates but also as concerned consumers. Dr. St. John is fellowship-trained in joint replacement surgery and spine surgery. He trained at the prestigious Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, and joined our community in August 2001.Joint replacement is a daunting lifestyle change. Thomas St. John, MD is helping our community make educated decisions and is working to help our large population of high-impact sports enthusiasts be lifelong participants. He will be repeating the free community lecture on a monthly basis.
