On behalf of the New Castle Chamber, thanks to all who participated in the Coal Country Feud 2007.A huge thank-you to Clinton Carroll for volunteering to be the Coal Country Feud chairperson. He did a fantastic job and all his efforts paid off. The Coal Country Feud raised over $2,700 to date and donations are still coming in. Thank you, Russell Talbott for being The Master of Ceremonies and providing the sound equipment and light buzzers.Thanks to Patti Reich for her decorating skills, and Alpine Gardens for beautiful flower decorations. Thank you, Kim Breslin, for the spaghetti sauce. A big thank you to Boy Scout Troop #221 for serving the dinner and providing the accruements and their can-do attitude.Thanks to Shannon Bailey for her time and efforts for the delicious dessert items. The Kiwanis Club of Glenwood Springs would like to thank all the supporters of the Great Ball Race that was held June 17th. We are pleased to announce the prize winners.The first prize winner of $5,000 is James Stuart of Collbran. The second prize of $500 was awarded to James Bradford of Glenwood Springs. Other winners include Whitney Bridger, Julie Allmon, Catherine Buck, Alan Lytle, Jim Garland, Monica Miller, Mark Spidell, Chris McComas, Lisa Flanery, Mandy Gauldin, Mandy Betts, Kent Jolley, Stacey Hohl, Dick Moolick, Jody Baehr, Brie Carmer, Mary Fedora and Kris Hoffmeister.
