The Glenwood Springs High School Cheer Squad and parents wish to thank the community for its continued support. When Ride The Rockies wheeled into town on June 20, the cheerleaders were organized and ready to serve three meals to the riders. This was a huge undertaking, and we were able to meet the challenge with the help of many wonderful people in our community. We wish to thank:The Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association for the opportunity to participate in the Ride the Rockies;Bart Victor of Charcoalburger for his leadership, food supplies at cost, grill and vehicle use, two large catering tents (one of which was used for shade greatly appreciated by the riders) and overall support;Rivers restaurant for the support and use of their kitchen to prepare breakfast burritos in the wee hours Thursday morning;BPOE #2286 Elks for the use of their tables and serving supplies. Many businesses helped us with donations of various supplies and discounted food items including: Inner Mountain Distributing, Pour House/Skip Bell, Red Rock Diner/Bob Olenick, Tortilleria La Roca, Bethel Party Rentals/Mike & Jan Huck, R & A Enterprises/Chris Broadhurst, St. Mary of the Crown, McDonald’s/Paul Nelson, Oddo Engineering, Orowheat/Ted & Tony, 1st Choice Inns/Scott Hert and our own GSHS Booster Club. In our hour of need, Jimmy’s 66 filled our propane tank for free and 19th Street Diner donated an extra supply of cheese for our burgers. We appreciate you all, and if we inadvertently missed someone, our sincere apologies. Our fundraiser was a success and will help to enable us to represent Glenwood Springs High School, the city of Glenwood Springs and the valleywide community at various competitions including the Colorado High School State Finals in December and Nationals in February. Most importantly, we all had fun representing you and thank you again for your continued support.2007-08 GSHS Cheer Squad and parents
