Readers Say Thanks

We would like to thank the Rifle, Grand Valley, Burning Mountains, Carbondale, Gypsum, and Greater Eagle Fire Protection districts, Colorado State Forest Service, Garfield County Road and Bridge, Rifle BLM/Forest Service Interagency Crews, Colorado River Crew, American Red Cross, Gila Hot Shot Crew out of New Mexico, Colorado State Forest, Garfield County Sheriff’s office and Holy Cross Energy for all of their efforts and hard work on the 301 fire. Without your efforts, there would have been homes lost. Also a special thanks to Stuart and Keri Jensen, Arnold Mackley, Kay and Wendell Goad, Blaine Colton, Eric Hodera and all of our friends and neighbors who called and offered their help and concern. We didn’t realize what it takes, the number of people and entities involved and hours put in, to protect our homes until we were faced with the situation.Diana and Jon WellendorfRose Belden and Bob SchwartSusan & Jeff Orosz and familyCarl BernklauTravis and Diana Casey and family
