The family of Jonathan Blue Schaffler would like to express their gratitude to the Victim’s Assistance Program and all of the medical personnel for all of the help and support they have given our family through this difficult time of losing our loved one.We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to our family and friends who have been there and helped us through this time of saying goodbye to Jonny, who was: a son (Rhonda Salazar); a brother (Sage Castine and Chisum Haskins); a father (Isaiah Schaffler); a brother-in-law (Phil Castine); an uncle (Haven, Presley and Philip Castine); a best friend (Garret McCormick); the love of someone’s life (Christa Stanek); and a friend (Roaring Fork Glass, Christa Castine, Alan Cotton and Dave Hardy). Thanks also to all who have generously donated to help us establish a trust fund for Jonny’s son, Isaiah Schaffler. The family of Jonathan Blue Schaffler

The Carbondale Talent Show is done and gone. Thanks so much to all the talent and volunteers who helped pull off the show. Together we raised more than $3,000 for KDNK. Our sponsors helped make it happen, especially Alpine Bank, Sunlight Mountain Resort, Valley Wellness Center and New Belgium Beer. All of this could not have happened if our fantastic Carbondale Rural Fire Department had not opened up the doors in their beautiful new facility for this event. Thank you all.Steve Skinner, Amy Kimberly, Leslie Johnson, Wick Moses, Luke Nestler and Steve Zelaznik of KDNK
