Huge kudos to Mary Kenyon and her staff at Real-Time Marketing, working together with Ski Sunlight and Granny Gear, for pulling off the most successful “24 Hours of Sunlight” ever. I was so proud of our community and beyond for coming together from all ages and walks of life to push a little harder for personal goals and a great cause ” our world-class Valley View Hospital. The coolest part of this “extreme” 24 hour event was that participants did not have to be extreme athletes to be on a team. They only needed commitment and a sense of humor.

So cheers to all the professionals, sponsors, participants and volunteers who helped make it happen. Cheers to those winners who broke personal records and world records and cheers to all the other winners who just did it for grins … big grins.

The Rifle Area Relay For Life would like to thank An Exquisite Design for their generous fundraising opportunity this Valentine’s Day. Dawn Ellis and her staff volunteered to donate all delivery fees from her Valentine’s Day deliveries to the Relay.

Seven Relay For Life committee members helped bring joy and some of the most beautiful flowers to residents from Battlement Mesa to New Castle, and in the process helped raise approximately $800 for the Rifle Area Relay For Life.

The Rifle Area Relay For Life is grateful for the generosity of Dawn Ellis and An Exquisite Design. Thanks to Anne, Becky, Cindy, Felicia, Joanne and Sarah for their help on Thursday. We would also like to thank Ellis Electric, Chris and Jodi Swallow of Swallow Oil, the Basecamp Cafe and Creek Bend Bistro for their contributions to this effort.
