Readers say thanks

The winter sports season has come to an end, and once again it is time to thank so many for their commitment and involvement with our winter athletic programs. I would like to thank Glenwood Sunrise Rotary and the Glenwood Kiwanis Club for once again giving of their time and energy in taking tickets for our home basketball games.

I would like to thank Coy Bretthorst for getting playoff game ticket-takers with such short notice.

It takes a lot of volunteers to run high school sports programs today, and I want to thank the following for giving of their time to run the clocks, keep the books and all the other things necessary: Carl Ciani, Steve Casey, Teresa McDermott, Terry Collins, Mike Wilde, Coach Miller, Pete Schaffner, Alicia Crandall, Becky Ciani, Bryan Whiting, Joey Sustar, and Scott Loeffler and all those I have missed.

Again, a sincere thank-you to all these great people.

Because of space restrictions, Part II of this thank-you letter will be published at a later date.

Steve Cable

Glenwood Springs High School athletic director
