We, the family of Paul Friel, whose body was found on the trail in Glenwood Springs Sunday, March 2, would like to thank the boys who came upon him and notified authorities.

We also appreciate the services of Kristin Clifford, Colorado Coroner, paramedics, fire and police departments.

It is always wonderful when communities and schools can work together towards common goals, and the Intercultural Training of Trainers was an example of this type of cooperation at its best. Because of the support of many people and organizations in the community, the Roaring Fork School District was able to train fifteen of its administrators and staff to become facilitators for working with the youth in our schools in overcoming barriers to the understanding and acceptance of diversity.

We would like to thank the following partners in this endeavor: Children’s Health Foundation, Aspen and District Rotary clubs, The Thrift Shop, town of Carbondale, Village Smithy, Peppino’s Pizza and Chomps Deli.

Mini Kanakaraj and Nadine Chavez would like to thank everyone who helped or attended the Empty Bowls soup dinner that took place Feb. 28 at Coal Ridge High School. It was put on to raise money for the hungry. Thanks to all of your support, we raised about $800. All of this money will be donated to LIFT-UP to help with the program they have for the less fortunate.

Again, we would like to thank everyone who was a part of the soup dinner. We really appreciate the support we received.
