The Parachute Police Department and Grand Valley High School would like to thank the following sponsors for helping with the Mock DUI traffic accident which took place April 11. The alcohol education exercise was held in front of Grand Valley High School on Cardinal Way in Parachute.The exercise was designed for juniors and seniors, and more than 100 students participated in the event. Students were able to view a simulation of a drunk driver colliding head-on with another vehicle.Special thanks go out to the Colorado State Patrol, EnCana Oil and Gas (USA) Inc., Garfield County Central Dispatch, Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Valley Fire Protection District, Rifle Towing, Williams Production Co., Subway Restaurant (Parachute), GVHS Drama class, and Face-N-Space Screening for the fast and superior job on the T-shirts.Randy Maliszewski, school resource officerGrand Valley High School
