American Legion Post 83 gives a salute of thanks to the following for making the 2008 Memorial Day Ceremony a successful one. Pastor Jeff Carlson and Mr. Bob Johnson shared many great words of wisdom and reverence. Singers Ron Milhorn and Trenton Butts, as well as trumpeter Walter Gora, were complimented by many individuals for their musical portions of the ceremony. Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts of Troop 225 reverently placed the flags at half-mast. The women of the auxiliaries gracefully placed the wreaths. A special thanks goes to the Noon Rotarians and Troop 225 for assisting with the placing of the more than 500 flags. Vast appreciation goes to the Glenwood Springs Post Independent and KMTS for the annual coverage.
Perhaps the greatest thanks goes to an increasing amount of the community members who dedicate some time from their Memorial Day weekend to honor the fallen veterans.
