Readers Say Thanks

Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado

The Basalt HS Booster Club would like to thank everyone who was involved with this year’s After Prom event held at El Jebowl. This event was a huge success with more than 150 students attending and $4,000 worth of donated prizes and food. A huge thanks goes out to El Jebowl for providing its facility and bowling for free and to Aspen Amusements for the free arcade games. J Place, City Market, and Clark’s Market all donated or provided food at a discount rate. We are especially grateful to the many, many businesses and individuals who donated money, merchandise and/or time. We wish we could list you all individually. Thanks to our chaperones who stayed until the late hour of 2 a.m. And we appreciate the Basalt Police Department for dropping by and keeping an eye on our kids!

I would like to thank the individual who returned my library book to the Garfield County Library. It was Janet J., “Lean Mean Thirteen.” I left the book on the Ride Glenwood bus and was unable to get it back off the bus, and the driver hadn’t seen it. I was going to have to purchase a new one to replace it, and as I am currently unemployed, as are many people in the valley, it would have been difficult for me to replace. Thank you again, and I hope you enjoyed the book if you read it. It was really funny.
