Medical staff grateful

for donations to fair

We would like to thank the physicians and staff of Glenwood Medical Associates for their generous donation to the 2004 Community Health Fair. Physicians Maria Chansky, Bruce Lippman, Bruce Lippman II, Steve O’Brien and Paul Salmen, and nurse practitioners Cathy Feinsinger and Mary Harrel Lawrence all donated their Saturday mornings to give complimentary skin and breast cancer screenings. Dr. Greg Feinsinger provided information about the Heart Attack Prevention Program.

We would also like to thank everyone who donated to GMA’s coat drive. Nearly 350 coats and jackets were collected and will be distributed to local charities next winter. Special thanks to Paul and Starla Karr at 4th Street Cleaners in Rifle, who donated cleaning services.

Friends of the Library

thank Caribbean volunteers

The New Castle Friends of the Library would like to extend our thanks to all the wonderful people who helped make our “Taste of the Caribbean” event a night to remember. Gayle Kuhns energized both young and old with her fabulous dancing. Steve Perreault and his dynamic drumming group, the Papaya Percussion Puppies, kept everybody’s adrenaline racing. Sandy Sanchez taught us all to conga-down. And the food – provided by supportive community volunteers – represented the cuisines of Haiti, the Dutch Antilles, Barbados, and other Caribbean locales.

Thanks to all of you for joining us and for your support.

Thanks for the support, RFEF

Dear Editor,

It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter of appreciation to the Roaring Fork Education Foundation. I am one of several lucky recipients of grant money from this wonderful organization.

The grant I received is for funds to attend a kindergarten conference this summer. I look forward to spending two days at several seminars to further my education.

A sincere thanks to the Roaring Fork Public Education Foundation for their continued support for the teachers and students of the Roaring Fork Valley schools.
