The Roaring Fork High School and Carbondale Middle School jazz bands, under the direction of Mark Gray, present a Veterans Day concert at 2:35 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Carbondale Middle School. All veterans and the public are welcome.

The Glenwood Springs Elks Lodge #2286 will host its third annual Armed Forces Appreciation Night at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11. All veterans and active military personnel and their families are invited to the lodge for a free buffet and entertainment. There will be a moment of prayer, a group pledge of allegiance and time for those who wish to speak to do so. Veterans and active personnel are encouraged to wear their uniforms and/or ribbons and medals.

A cash bar will be available. Entertainment provided by Dave Hill and Bruce Imig.

The Glenwood Springs Elks Lodge #2286 is located in West Glenwood at 51939 Highway 6.

The American Legion Post 100, 97 N. Third St. in Carbondale, would like to invite all veterans to a free spaghetti dinner and to celebrate the 232nd anniversary of the Marines at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11.
