Yoga workshop raised relief funds

Post Independent Writer

On Sunday, Jan. 30, the Glenwood Springs Community Center sponsored a yoga workshop to benefit the families and children affected by the recent tsunami disaster. Over 30 students took part in a heart-filled celebration of life to honor those lives that have been washed away and left in a state of devastation. What an honor it was for me to share the anusara teachings that I love with such a radiant group of yogis and yoginis. Together, we raised $1,140 that will be donated to Save the Children for their Southeast Asia Relief Fund. In deep appreciation, I thank all who participated, the Post Independent, the Glenwood Springs Community Center, and program director Emily Fifer for making this event a huge success.
