The Glenwood Springs High School Demons are 12-0, ranked No. 1 in the Class 3A and one victory away from playing in the ultimate high school football game.

Mountain View (11-1) will come to Stubler Memorial Field on Saturday to play the Demons in the Class 3A semifinals. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

The Demons have an explosive offense, scoring more than 40 points nine times this season, including a demolishing of Roosevelt in the first round 52-10, and by beating defending state champs Berthoud, 50-39, in the quarterfinals.

Glenwood is a talented, exciting and tough football team. There are few events that provide such energy as a high school football playoff game. With the stakes this high, Stubler Field will be more energized than Frankenstein.
