Hosack for Re-2 school board

This letter is in support of Mickie Hosack’s election as director from District A of Garfield School District Re-2.

Ms. Hosack is highly qualified for this position because of her experience, common sense and intelligence. She and her family have been in the school district for 13 years and her two children have attended district schools where she has been involved, serving on PTAs and both building and district accountability committees. She was appointed to fill out the term of the previous director from District A and has served for the past year.

In her professional career, Mickie has been employed as a registered dietitian with Grand River Hospital and taught classes at Colorado Mountain College.

My personal acquaintance with Mickie has been through her involvement at St. Mary Parish in Rifle, where she is always willing to help out in various volunteer positions, from teaching Sunday school to making wonderful dishes for church functions.

It will be a great benefit to the school district to elect Mickie Hosack to the school board for a full four-year term.

Sally M. Brands

Former director, District B,

Garfield Re 2 School District

The ROC apologizes

Reach-Out Colorado wishes to apologize to the family of Renelda Baston for the article that was submitted that said she had been abandoned to fend for herself. Her family is concerned for her welfare, medical and health needs and spends much time making sure she is OK. The ROC apologizes for any embarrassment and fear this has caused. We only meant to say that she needs help cleaning up her yard and a statement such as that should have been sufficient.

Dave Bottroff

Director, Reach-Out Colorado
