Death Notice

Jack E. Blankenship, 88, of Battlement Mesa, Colo., oil and mineral landman in the energy industry, passed away June 29, 2014, at Hope West & Hospice.

He is survived by his son, Mike Blankenship of Murtaugh, Idaho; daughters, Christie Santi of Salt Lake City, Utah, Dawn Crocker of Calgary, Alberta Canada; Lisa Colaizzi of Battlement Mesa; and brother, Wayne A. Blankenship, Jr. of Kenner, La.

Military honors will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 3, at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, 2830 Riverside Parkway, in Grand Junction, Colo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jack’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
