Grand River Health held the first annual Community Champions Luncheon on Wednesday, March 19, as part of the National March for Meals campaign.

Parachute Mayor Judy Beasley, New Castle Mayor-elect Bob Gordon, Garfield County Commissioners Mike Samson and John Martin, along with area fire, police and ambulance officials, participated to support the area’s homebound and hungry seniors. Community Champions Week utilizes the involvement of local elected officials and community champions to deliver Meals on Wheels.

March for Meals will conclude with the Grand River Gallop 5K Run/2K Super Hero Fun Run on April 5.
