Theft: Police responded to a report of theft in the 300 block of West 12th Street on June 19 at 8:17 a.m. A piece of farming equipment had been unattached and removed. Later, the equipment reappeared on the property. The case is under investigation.

Criminal mischief: Police received a report that property was damaged at a residence under construction in the 800 block of West 24th Street on June 20 at 2:21 p.m. The case is under investigation.

Theft: On June 20 at 4:44 p.m., police received a report of a theft of alcoholic beverages from a business in the 600 block of Wapiti Court.



Traffic summons: Officers made a traffic stop in the 100 block of East First Street on June 21 at 2:10 a.m. Stephen Everett Cruz, of Silt, was issued a summons for registration violations and no proof of insurance. The vehicle was impounded.

Burglary: Police responded to the 700 block of West 24th Street on June 21 at 6:03 a.m. for a report of burglary. Someone gained entry to a home and stole financial documents. The case is under investigation.



Theft: On June 21 at 8:35 a.m., police received a report that an unlocked vehicle parked in the 200 block of West 20th Street was entered and items stolen.

Shoplifting: On June 21 at 1:42 p.m., police received a report of shoplifting from a business in the 600 block of Wapiti Court. Christopher Scott Alan Hart, 29, of Silt, was issued a summons for theft.

Warrant arrest: While investigating a separate matter in the 1000 block of West Text ColorSwatch/NoneStrokeStyle/$ID/SolidText ColorSwatch/NoneStrokeStyle/$ID/SolidText ColorText ColorText ColorText Color24th Street on June 21 at 10:48 p.m., police contacted Jody Lin Blake, 31, of Rifle, who was found to have an active warrant. She was arrested and taken to jail.

Underage drinking: Police responded to an underage drinking party in the 900 block of Wamsley Way on June 23 at 4:36 a.m. Summonses for minor in possession of alcohol were issued to a 17-year-old girl from Glenwood Springs; Mackenzie Layne Moya, 18, of Rifle; Deanna Ruth Barraza, 19, of Glenwood Springs; and Nathalia Birch, 19, of Glenwood Springs.

Meth arrest: Police contacted Michael Dennis Euler, 44, of Rifle, at a traffic stop in the 800 block of Railroad Avenue on June 23 at 3:46 p.m. Euler was also allegedly in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Fuel theft: On June 24 at 3:06 p.m., deputies took a report of fuel stolen from a construction site on County Road 215 outside Parachute. The case is closed pending any new leads

Harassment: Deputies responded to a family disturbance in the 700 block of Rio Seco Road outside Silt on June 24 at 10 a.m. Mark Anthony Harrah, 18, of Glenwood Springs, was issued a summons for harassment.

Theft arrest: On June 24 at 10:10 a.m., deputies received a report of fuel stolen from a natural gas well site on County Road 309 outside Parachute. Menacing arrest: Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1500 block of Balsam Court on June 24 at 1:19 p.m. Elias Reuben Martinez-Vigil, 25, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing and possession of a weapon by a previous offender. He was taken to jail.

Warrant arrest: Johnny P. Hamrick, 37, of Rifle, contacted police on June 24 at 2:16 p.m. for a separate matter when it was discovered that he had an active warrant. He was arrested, posted bond and was released.

ID theft: On June 25 at 4:14 p.m., deputies took a report of identity theft that occurred in the 400 block of Village Drive outside Rifle. The case is closed pending further leads.

Dog at large: Deputies responded to a report of a dog at large in the 100 block of Silver Queen Circle in Battlement Mesa on June 25 at 9:25 a.m. The dog’s owner, Anthony Bence Pauley, 43, of Battlement Mesa, was issued a summons for dog at large.

Trespass: On July 1 at 5:15 p.m., deputies responded to a trespass report in the U.S. Highway 6/County Road 227 area outside Rifle. The case is closed/inactive pending further leads.

Warrant arrest: Deputies responded to a suspicious party report in the area of County Roads 245 and 241 outside New Castle on July 1 at 3 a.m. Robert Jonathan Wisby, 36, of Wichita, Kan., was arrested on an active warrant and taken to jail.

Tampering: Deputies received a traffic complaint on Tamarisk Trail in Battlement Mesa on July 1 at 6:03 p.m. Richard Frederick, 64, of Battlement Mesa, was arrested on suspicion of second degree tampering and obstructing a peace officer. He was taken to jail.
