Featured pet: Flame

Looking for an awesome family cat? Look no further, come adopt Flame. Flame is about 3 years old and is an all black cat with yellow eyes. She has lived with children of all ages and was fostered by a family that had another cat and small dogs. She is very affectionate and fun to spend time with. Flame is FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) positive and will need to be an indoor only cat because of that. She was found at the fire department here in Rifle, which is how she got her name, around two years ago. A loving family adopted her, but they could no longer take care of her. Come meet Flame. You are going to love this pretty girl.

The adoption fee for cats is $30 for one or $50 for two. Kittens and cat friendly cats do very well in pairs. They always have a buddy when you’re away and kittens are very playful. Another kitten or cat makes the perfect playmate, and two cats aren’t much more work than one. Consider two cats if you can. All our cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, FIV negative — except for Flame — and up to date on their vaccines. Call 970-625-8808 for more information about this cat, and please leave a message if no one answers — we are often busy and can’t get to the phone. Thank you for thinking adoption first and check us out on Facebook at Rifle Animal Shelter.
