Garfield County Sheriff’s Office Crime Report – Dec. 26, 2013
The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
Warrant arrest: Deputies contacted a man in a vehicle on U.S. Highway 6 outside Rifle on Dec. 18 at 6:20 a.m. Gustavo Gabriel Hernandez-Solis, 36, of Rifle, was arrested on an active warrant and taken to jail.
Traffic stop arrest: Deputies made a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 6 outside Rifle on Dec. 18 at 7:34 p.m. John Henry Godeski, 37, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, eluding a police officer, driving with a revoked license, failure to drive in a single lane, violation of a restraining order and on an active warrant. He was taken to jail.
Warrant arrest: Deputies contacted a woman in the 300 block of East Fourth Street in Rifle on Dec. 20 at 4:11 p.m. and arrested Misty Marie Frazier, 35, of Rifle, on an active warrant. She was taken to jail.
Underage drinking summonses: Deputies responded to a call on U.S. Highway 6 east of Rifle on Dec. 21 at 10:46 p.m. Edgar Iva Estrada, 19, and Keimi Eleazar Payan-Robles, 18, both of Rifle, were issued summonses for illegal possession or consumption of alcohol by a minor, as were four juveniles.
DUI: Deputies stopped a vehicle in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near New Castle on Dec. 21 at 1:05 a.m. Gerald Edward Duplesys, 46, of Silt, was arrested on suspicion of DUI, having an open contained of alcohol in the vehicle and weaving. He was taken to jail.
Harassment: Deputies responded to a disturbance on Apache Drive outside New Castle on Dec. 21 at 6:44 p.m. Cody Lee Hughes, 28, of New Castle, was arrested on suspicion of harassment, obstructing a peace officer, dog at large, not having a dog licensed and on an active warrant. He was taken to jail.
Parole violation: Deputies responded to an agency assist on County Road 333 outside Rifle on Dec. 21 at 8:16 p.m. Dana Hildabrant Head, 53, of Rifle, was arrested on a suspected parole violation and taken to jail.
Domestic violence: Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the 800 block of West Battlement Parkway in Battlement Mesa on Dec. 21 at 10:48 p.m. Jessica Rose Cruz-Cruz, 25, of Battlement Mesa, was arrested on suspicion of third degree assault and domestic violence and taken to jail.
DUI: Deputies responded to a vehicle accident on County Road 301 outside Parachute on Dec. 22 at 7:59 a.m. Donna M. Kuipers, 47, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and careless driving and taken to jail.
