Garfield County Sheriff’s Office Crime Report – Jan. 30, 2014

Editor’s note: The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Trespass: Deputies responded to a trespass on Ash Avenue near Rifle on Jan. 18 at 4:21 a.m. Kyle James Gonyea, 24, of Collbran, was issued a summons for second degree criminal trespass.

Driving summons: Deputies made a traffic stop on County Road 244 outside Parachute on Jan. 19 at 11:02 p.m. Justin Jay Davis, 28, of Rifle, was issued a summons for driving with a suspended license.

Domestic arrest: Deputies responded to a call in the 800 block of West Battlement Parkway in Battlement Mesa on Jan. 20 at 10:20 p.m. Miguel Israel Galindo-Estorga, 22, of Battlement Mesa, was arrested on suspicion of child abuse, third degree assault and domestic violence. He was taken to jail.

Warrant arrest: Deputies made a traffic stop on County Road 154 outside Glenwood Springs on Jan. 21 at 8:11 p.m. Kevin Orvil Apodaca, 18, of Silt, was arrested on suspicion of speeding and an active warrant and was taken to jail.

Traffic arrest: Deputies made a traffic stop near North Battlement and Spencer Parkways in Battlement Mesa on Jan. 22 at 6:44 a.m. George Acosta, 23, of Clifton, was arrested on suspicion of diving with a revoked license and speeding and was taken to jail.

Warrant arrest: Deputies contacted a man in a vehicle near Stone Quarry Road and Monument Trail in Battlement Mesa on Jan 22 at 10:22 p.m. Christopher Andrew Lee Bohler, 23, of Parachute, was arrested on suspicion of driving with a revoked license and on an active warrant. He was taken to jail.

Warrant arrest: Deputies contacted a man on River Frontage Road outside Silt on Jan. 24 at 7:07 p.m. William John Janish, 40, of Silt, was arrested on an active warrant and taken to jail.

Warrant arrest: Deputies contacted a man in the 1000 block of East 19th Street in North Rifle on Jan. 26 at 5:14 a.m. Jason Lee Wieczorek, 40, of Rifle, was arrested on an active warrant and taken to jail.

Burglary: Deputies responded to a call of a burglary in the 100 block of Rippy Lane outside New Castle on Jan. 26 at 3:39 p.m. The case is closed/inactive pending further leads.

Assault: Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of Lodgepole Circle in Battlement Mesa on Jan. 27 at 6:41 p.m. Vickie Swann, 48, of Battlement Mesa, was issued a summons for third degree assault.

Domestic violence: Deputies responded to a call in the 200 block of Meadow Creek Drive in Battlement Mesa on Jan. 27 at 4:16 p.m. Lisa Lee Hall, 26, of Battlement Mesa, and Jeremy David Green, 36, of Battlement Mesa, were both arrested on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence and taken to jail.

Menacing: Deputies responded to a menacing incident on County Road 335 outside New Castle on Jan. 27 at 5:57 p.m. Kurt Denis, 61, of New Castle, was arrested on suspicion of menacing and harassment and taken to jail.
